Meet Your TherapistÂ
If childhood trauma, painful relationships, or attachment wounds have left you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, you're not alone. Healing is possible, and you don't have to navigate it by yourself. My goal is to help you understand the patterns that have shaped your life, build healthier relationships, and create lasting emotional well-being.
Â
As the founder of Prevail Counseling & Wellness LLC, a U.S. Army veteran, and a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in helping BIPOC individuals and couples throughout Nevada heal from childhood trauma, attachment wounds, unhealthy relationship patterns, and generational cycles. I believe every person deserves a safe, compassionate space where they feel seen, heard, and empowered to move forward with confidence and hope.
Healing Through Connection
The Approach
Experience & Qualifications
I believe healing begins in a space where you feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed, attachment-focused care that recognizes how childhood experiences, relationships, and life events shape the way we think, feel, and connect with ourselves and others.
Â
Using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and attachment-focused therapy, we'll work together to identify unhealthy patterns, process painful experiences, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier relationships. My goal is not only to help you find relief from current struggles, but to equip you with the insight, resilience, and practical tools needed to create lasting change.
Â
Whether you're healing from childhood trauma, navigating relationship challenges, or breaking unhealthy generational patterns, I strive to provide a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive space where you can grow, heal, and move forward with greater confidence and emotional well-being.
With a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specialized training in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for Couples, I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each client's unique needs.
Â
As a U.S. Army veteran and trauma-informed therapist, I understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all. I specialize in helping BIPOC individuals and couples heal from childhood trauma, attachment wounds, unhealthy relationship patterns, and generational cycles while building healthier relationships, emotional resilience, and lasting well-being.
Â
I believe growth is a lifelong journey and remain committed to ongoing professional development to ensure I provide the highest quality care using research-supported approaches that empower clients to create meaningful, lasting change.
